Fast payback with X-Block®

With no new air required for return-stroke, air needs are cut roughly in half. The actual savings will vary depending on cylinder size dimensions, leakage, use of speed regulators and other factors relating to cylinder configuration.

Often additional energy savings are obtained with system pressure drops. X-Block® allows lower inlet pressure while delivering the same or more power. With less air required, the system pressure "feeding" the application may drop. Pressure drops allow the air compressor to "work" at lower levels thereby saving additional kilowatt hours.

At energy savings of more than 30% (but usually more than 50%), the payback on investment is estimated at under one year. This will depend on a lot of factors such as number of cylinders, cylinder size, cylinder cycle speeds, force used on forward and return stroke, etc. Electricty costs also vary from State-to-State, country to country (see "
links").
